Vaanam is a forthcoming Indian Tamil action-drama film written and directed by Krish. A remake of his 2010 Telugu film Vedam, the film will feature an ensemble cast, including Silambarasan, Bharath, Anushka Shetty, Prakash Raj and Saranya. The score and soundtrack of the film are composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, while cinematography and editing are handled by Nirav Shah and Anthony Gonsalves, respectively. Jointly produced by Ganesh Janardhanan and R. Ganesh, Vaanam is currently in its post-production stage and set to be released by Dayanidhi Azhagiri's Cloud Nine Movies tentatively on April 29, 2011. There's very little to be said of the number that was released ahead of all the others and swiftly climbed to numero uno position on the charts: Evandi Unnai Pethan. Vaanam begins with Yuvan Shankar Raja's nasal voice and a nice burst of guitar that touches all the angst buttons. The lyrics also take a turn off the beaten path; the words 'Deivam Vaazhvadhu Enge?' seem to have special significance.
